Biography:

Reginald Bedell has a general legal practice in, Willsboro, New York in the heart of the Adirondack Mountains and Champlain Valley serving upstate New York including Essex and Clinton County. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree from William and Mary College and then his law degree from Golden Gate Law School where he graduated with highest honors. He is licensed to practice law in the states of New York, California and Virginia.

Prior to law school he worked in the real estate field managing large resort real estate properties on the west coast. Upon graduation from law school he practiced ten years in San Francisco, CA where he concentrated his legal practice in real estate with emphasis on landlord tenant real estate, land use and conservation issues, wills and trust, probate and civil litigation. Upon moving to New York his practice is now concentrated in the area of criminal law, traffic violations, family court, real estate law, landlord tenant, conservation law and estate planning with probate administration.

He believes the opportunity to protect the rights of the individual against the ever increasing criminalization of our behavior is one of the greatest opportunities the practice of law offers. Likewise to use the legal profession to enhance the protection of our natural resources against the ever encroaching pressures of the modern world gives hope that the next generation will enjoy the benefits which our generation has enjoyed.

He is a member of the Essex County Bar Association, the California State Bar, Virginia State Bar, New York Bar Association, New York State Defenders Association and the National Association of Defense Lawyers. He served as part time public defender for Essex County.

When not practicing law he is an avid photographer who enjoys the outdoors with many hours spent skiing, snowshoeing, canoeing or improving the old fields and woodlots surrounding his home. He is past president of the local Kiwanis chapter and actively participates in the local community.
